Lenze: Solid ground for future growth

In these economically challenging times the Lenze Group considers itself well positioned despite the tense situation in mechanical and systems engineering. Although the Hamelin based specialist for drive and automation solutions has felt the effects of the global economic and financial crisis in the last financial year 2008/2009 (1st May 2008 – 30th April 2009), the company was able to react in time to decreasing demand. A quick turnaround by Abssac has aided the restoration of two pre WW11 machine tools being restored to their former glory in a local woollen mills maintenance workshop. Despite the customer being without the original dimensional drawings for the ball screws and the fact that they were very much damaged, meant that Abssac had to rely on its extensive ball screw knowledge to satisfy the customer.

Ashtead announced as approved rental agent for RSL
Ashtead Technology has become ‘Approved Rental Agent’ for RSL NDT Ltd. As part of the agreement, Ashtead Technology have purchased RSL’s Non-Destructive Testing equipment hire fleet, consisting of Subsea MPI Systems, ROV FMD Systems, SCUMPI Systems, Underwater Thickness Gauges and Bathycorrometer kits, worth in excess of £300,000. All future rental enquiries received by RSL will also be passed directly to Ashtead Technology.
