The new, handheld Fluke 353 and 355 Clamp Meters feature extra wide jaws (up to 58mm) to easily clamp around large conductors and bus-bars typically found in high current applications. A special mode button on both models offers accurate peak measurements of in-rush currents for motor start-ups and other inductive loads. Both models measure up to 2000A DC and 1400ARMS AC. The Fluke 355 also measures voltage to 1000V DC and 600VRMS AC and resistance to 400k Ohms, making it a very versatile single tool for industrial and utility technicians and electrical contractors; there is also a continuity beeper.
The Fluke 353 and 355 feature a large backlit display to give clear visibility in areas of poor lighting, and a display-hold function for readings which cannot be viewed directly. The clamp meters measure frequency up to 1kHz, feature MIN, MAX and AVG functions for analysing readings quickly, and have a low-pass filter for more accurate measurements on equipment with high frequency or switching noise.
