The first product of its type, the new Contactor Monitoring Device from Moeller Electric means the expense of using duplicate redundant contactors in motor starters with safety functions can be entirely eliminated. Instead, the same levels of safety can be achieved by using a compact and inexpensive CMD module with each contactor, providing not only large cost savings, but also reducing the amount of space required in the control panel.

Rittal RiLine NH on-load isolators provide safe, reliable isolation protection from down-stream electrical equipment. Available either with or without fuse monitoring, the isolators range from 100 to 630 amps (60mm), sizes 000 to 3 and can be easily mounted directly onto Rittal’s range of busbar systems.

Airwave audio and video wireless connectivity systems available from LPRS are being reduced in price by 30% from June 15th to July 15th 2008. The Airwave AWV367/368 -10dBM system operates at 2.4GHZ and has an indoor range of 30m. At the last Vision trade show, GigE (Gigabit Ethernet) – as an alternative to FireWire, USB, and CameraLink – was referred to as the new future standard. The first camera manufacturers have already presented camera specific cables for the consumer market. igus® UK has unveiled a new maintenance-free linear unit for format adjustments. DryLin® EasyTube can be used for adjustment tasks up to 150 newtons in vertical applications or 500 newtons when installed horizontally. The system is temperature-resistant up to 80 degrees Celcius and has the option of a corrosion-free stainless steel leadscrew.
