Inmoco is providing greater motor efficiency and higher top-end speed performance for brushless DC servo motors with the launch of the MC73110 Motor Control IC from Performance Motion Devices, Inc. (PMD). Employing highly efficient field- orientated control, the intelligent single- axis MC73110 requires only a MOSFET or IGBT three-phase bridge to implement a fully-featured drive. It is ideal for use in applications such as medical automation, semiconductor equipment, general automation and scientific instrumentation.

WEG is supplying new, lighter traction motors that save over 400kgs in weight on the latest generation of trolley buses. The buses employ the traction motor and a matched inverter on their differentials to increase power, reduce weight and improve economy.

The new A4941 from Allegro MicroSystems Europe is a three-phase, sensorless, brushless DC motor driver IC designed for fan and blower applications in the white goods and office automation sectors.
