Micromech is pleased to announce an important advancement in servomotors with the introduction by Parker Hannifin of a range of explosion proof motors. The EX series is a range of 1,75 to 35Nm permanent magnet synchronous servomotor designed for use in explosive atmospheres. Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions announces the release of the integrated Size 17 “captive” stepper motor linear actuator and DCM4826X microstepping drive module. The drive can be configured for full step, half step, or microstep (1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 step size). The integrated linear actuator / drive unit is available in both single stack and double stack motor configurations with a wide range of lead screw resolutions.

Aerotech’s CCS series rotary stages (patent pending) with integrated captured collet chucks provide automated material handling capability for a wide range of materials and applications. Collet chucks used with the CCS family accept C-, D- or Levin-style collets that are readily available from machine-tool component suppliers in sizes supporting tube diameters from 0.1 mm to 27 mm.

The TMC429 integrates all real time critical tasks in reliable, dedicated hardware incorporating an integrated motion ramp profile generator as well as an adaptable microstep sequencer with microstep RAM table. Advanced stop- and reference switch handling allows for precise and fast referencing as well as on-the-fly position checking. Automatic motor current control gives high motor dynamics while saving energy and the interrupt output can generate precise position pulses.
