Power supply expert TDK-Lambda EMEA has upped the output power of its ZPSA series of compact PCB-mountable AC-DC power supplies with the introduction of a 100W model. The new single-output ZPSA100 accepts a wide input voltage range, has a very low profile (26.6mm) and industry standard footprint (127 x 76.2mm), making it an ideal choice for applications such as LED signage and lighting, point-of-sale equipment, datacom, video/audio routers and test & measurement equipment.

With 4kVac reinforced input to output isolation and input to ground isolation of 1500Vac, all CSS65 models meet the applicable safety requirements of UL/EN/IEC60601-1 making them suitable for use in medical devices with applied part rating B.

Leading power supply manufacturer TDK-Lambda EMEA adds a 200W model to its successful single output LS series of general purpose power supplies, with models now covering from 25W up to 200W. While the LS200 is particularly well-suited to budget conscious applications, it carries more functions than similarly priced products available on the market today and can fit into a 1U rack.

Power supply manufacturer TDK-Lambda UK has signed a non-exclusive distribution agreement with Ideal Power, a power specialist in the industrial and medical sectors. Leading power supply manufacturer TDK-Lambda EMEA introduces the HFE1600 series; 1U high, single output AC-DC hot swap front end power supplies that have an industry leading power density for a 1.6kW front-end of 25.2W/in3. Intended for equipment requiring reliable 12V, 24V and 48V bulk power, typical applications include communications, broadcast, military (COTS), laser and process control. Up to 20% output voltage adjustment is possible, enabling the HFE1600 to be customer set according to specific needs. Operating from a universal 85 to 265Vac input, the high efficiency of up to 92% minimises heat dissipation and power consumption thus meeting Climate Savers Computing efficiency standards.

Earlier this year astronomers and engineers successfully positioned and linked three antennas used in a pioneering telescope based at high altitude in the Atacama region of northern Chile. When fully-commissioned with 66 antennas, the giant telescope will be used to observe the universe with pin-point accuracy and help astronomers answer important questions about our cosmic origins. Inside these antennas are two electronic equipment racks, each powered by one of TDK-Lambda’s Vega configurable AC-DC power supplies.

TDK-Lambda EMEA has added a 200W module to its CN-A110 series of DC-DC power modules that have a wide range 60 -160Vdc input, to accommodate higher-power railway applications. Available with nominal output voltages from 5V to 24V (adjustable ±10%), the CN200A110 module has a wide input range, and is fully-regulated and isolated to deliver exceptional performance in the industry standard half-brick footprint.

Power supply expert TDK-Lambda EMEA has introduced a 60W model into its PXF family of DC-DC converters. The new PXF60 operates from a 2:1 input and is ideal for datacom, telecom, instrumentation and test & measurement applications.

TDK-Lambda launches the CPFE500 range of baseplate-cooled power supplies capable of providing 500W without the need for fan cooling. With an extended temperature range (-40 to +85°C) this innovative range of AC-DC power supplies will be of particular interest to engineers who need high power but cannot use fans or where the unit is sealed in an enclosure.

Leading power supply manufacturer TDK-Lambda adds further models to its popular Genesys™ 3.3kW and 5kW compact 2U format programmable power supplies to increase application reach. The new models offer the same high efficiency, flexibility and reliability for which TDK-Lambda Genesys™ products have become well renowned, and complement existing models in the Genesys™ 1U, 2U, 3U and Half-Wide portfolio that covers power ratings from 750W to 15kW.

Lambda has launched a lower power range of multi-output models to its popular NV-Power family of configurable power supplies. The new NV-100 models enable Lambda to satisfy the increasing demand for cost-efficient 1U high configurable power solutions at 100W in broadcast and instrumentation markets. In addition, the new models hold MIL-STD-801E approvals and as such are capable of withstanding the rough handling and harsh service conditions associated with military use. The range is also well suited to other applications, such as ATE, automation, routers and servers, and security networks.

Lambda has extended its PFE series of AC-DC full-brick power modules with the introduction of the PFE500F with additional features including active current sharing and remote on/off. Like the existing PFE300, PFE500 and PFE700 models, the new PFE500F versions provide a convenient ac-dc board mounted solution for applications – such as industrial, datacom and telecom – but bring further functionality.

Lambda has expanded its half-brick DC-DC converter line-up with the introduction of the new iHG series. Providing exceptional thermal performance, using the industry standard half-brick footprint with no base plate, these modules are ideal for engineers designing low airflow, high temperature, 48V power architectures, for telecom, wireless, industrial and many other applications. The initial product offering within the iHG family includes 5V/10A, 5V/20A and 3.3V/30A devices, with further products planned.

Lambda UK has won the ‘e-Legacy Contribution to Sustainability Award’ for its ‘War on Waste’ campaign. The award was presented to Maureen Woodger, leader of Lambda UK's recycling team, by Quintin Komaromy, Head of Commercial Marketing at Farnell, during an auspicious ceremony at the Tate Modern on 1st November 2007.
