Jet Edge announced today that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued the waterjet manufacturer a patent for a high pressure fluid sealing mechanism designed by Jet Edge R&D Engineer Michael Wheeler. Jet Edge’s proprietary high pressure fluid sealing mechanism improves waterjet seal life by providing robust Metal-on-Metal sealing without the use of conventional plastic seals.

Jet Edge is honoured to announce that the U.S. Army’s legendary 11th Armoured Calvary Regiment has installed a Jet Edge precision water jet cutting system at its home base in Fort Irwin, Calif. Jet Edge is pleased to announce that Precision Waterjet Concepts has installed a third Jet Edge waterjet cutting system at its full-service 5-axis and 3-axis waterjet cutting facility in Northern Minnesota. Custom metal fabricator TC/American Manufacturing recently completed a high-profile project for NASA’s new space shuttle Atlantis display at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida. The Waite Park metal fabrication and machine shop built two massive kinetic theater door panels for the Atlantis display, which is scheduled to open in July 2013.
