It has been announced that HMS Industrial Networks has acquired all shares in the German company Beck IPC located in Wetzlar, Germany. Beck IPC is a leading provider of technology and solutions for embedded control and industrial M2M communication, including solutions for the Industrial Internet of Things, IIoT.

  HMS Industrial Networks has announced the release of the new 4G LTE EU (Europe) extension card for eWON Flexy, its advanced IIoT gateway and remote access router. This enables Flexy users to access, monitor and control machinery remotely over the cellular 4G network.

  The IXXAT Safe T100 safety module from HMS now supports the CIP Safety protocol according to CIP Volume 5 V2.14. It was previously available for PROFIsafe, the new IXXAT Safe T100/CS, enables easy, module-based implementation of secure IOs for CIP Safety.

American machine builder JSI provide paper slitting machines which are very well-connected. By using technology from HMS Industrial Networks, and system design by Millennium Controls, JSI can remotely access and control the machine via the internet and also enable wired and wireless communication between different parts of the machine. All this allows JSI to offer an even more competitive and connected machine.

The second product inHMS Industrial Networks' EtherNet/IP Linking Devices family has been released. The EtherNet/IP to Modbus-TCP Linking Device allows users to connect devices on Modbus-TCP to a Rockwell ControlLogix or CompactLogix PLC. Users will benefit from the integration to Rockwell’s Studio5000 Logix Designer, as all configuration is made from inside Studio 5000.

HMS Industrial Networks now offers the Netbiter Remote Management solution under the new brand name eWON. Alongside eWON Cosy and Flexy, Netbiter will be one of the three main product lines within the eWON Remote Solutions offering.

Another company has joined the ThingWorx Ready partner programme, HMS Industrial Networks, and it now releases an extension to the Netbiter Remote Management solution that connects to the Thingworx IoT platform. Due to the new extension, data from Netbiter gateways can be presented directly to the ThingWorx IoT platform.

When Newton Tesla sets up new variable speed drives for their customers, they can do configuration, re-programming and monitoring from any location. By connecting a Netbiter gateway to their drives systems, they can offer their customers immediate assistance and do remote commissioning during the critical start-up period.

HMS Industrial Networks now releases the first product in a new family of EtherNet/IP Linking Devices. The new Serial EtherNet/IP Linking Device allows users to connect any serial device to a Rockwell ControlLogix or CompactLogix PLC. The main advantage of the new Linking Device is the unique integration to Rockwell´s Studio5000 Logix Designer. Processcomponent in Sweden has found a way to quickly connect M-Bus sensors to the OptoEMU Energy Monitoring System. By using the Anybus M-Bus to Modbus-TCP gateway they can provide building owners with real-time data from their buildings so they can do monitoring, logging and invoicing.

HMS Industrial Networks now presents a new solution for handling profiles - mainly targeting drives and motion applications. The extension to the new Anybus CompactCom 40-series enables drives manufacturers to comply with common profile specifications such as PROFIdrive, EtherCAT DS402, and transparent DS402 on other networks.

New gateway from HMS Industrial Networks enables M-Bus data from measuring devices to be monitored from Modbus-TCP networks.M-Bus (Meter-Bus) is a widely used communication standard for measuring devices. It is predominantly used in buildings, for example in electricity meters, gas meters, water meters or other types of consumption meters. By getting data from these measuring devices onto a PLC or SCADA system, users can get a total overview of their energy consumption, including building parameters which previously had to be checked separately.  

The Netbiter Remote Management solution from HMS Industrial Networks allows automation devices using EtherNet/IP to be monitored and controlled via the web. By connecting a Netbiter EasyConnect 300-series gateway, users of EtherNet/IP-based equipment can carry out maintenance from any location.

HMS Industrial Networks now expands the Netbiter Remote Management offering to include three different services catering for different user needs. The dedicated services enable both quick connection to a single remote machine, as well as advanced projects including multiple installations and users. HMS also presents a new Netbiter EasyConnect gateway (EC310) which communicates via Ethernet only.

the Anybus® communicator CAN is a new protocol converter from HMS industrial Networks. The gateway enables communication between any industrial device with a CAN interface and industrial networks such as Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet, EtherNetIP, EtherCAT or CANopen.

The new 2-port version of Anybus CompactCom for Modbus TCP is not only a fast and easy way for industrial device manufacturers to achieve connectivity to Modbus TCP. It is also a way to reduce the need for expensive external switches and cut down on factory wiring since the module comes with a built-in switch of its own.

HMS has added support for DF1 communication into the entire range of Anybus Communicator gateways. Thanks to this implementation, users can benefit from a simple and straight-forward way of connecting industrial devices which support DF1 to all major industrial fieldbus and industrial Ethernet networks used in today´s automation systems. Devices include e.g. Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC-5, SLC-500, MicroLogix among others. Supporting conversion from DF1 to 14 industrial networks including DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, Modbus/TCP, Profibus-DP, ProfiNet and CANopen, Anybus Communicator becomes a powerful tool for anyone aiming to integrate devices which support DF1 communication into other architectures.

FLSmidth, develops advanced pollution control systems in order to comply with the stringent industrial standards.
