New tools to increase Lockout/Tagout efficiency

New tools to increase Lockout/Tagout efficiency
Lockout/Tagout is being implemented in an increasing number of industries. That is no surprise since the procedure, if applied correctly, guarantees employee safety. New innovations in Lockout/Tagout aim to increase efficiency by focusing on product flexibility and ease of use.The main principle of the Lockout/Tagout procedure is extremely simple: isolate machines from their energy supply for safe interventions and maintenance. To isolate a machine from its energy sources, push buttons, levers, valves or handles are rendered inoperable by blocking them with a lockout device. A maintenance worker can lock these devices in place with a padlock, ensuring co-workers cannot accidentally re-energise a machine before maintenance is done.

Brady offers the lightest heavy-duty RFID label

Brady offers the lightest heavy-duty RFID label
Brady Corporation has launched an innovative and ultra-light weight (<2g) RFID label. The self-adhesive label, which can be printed and programmed on-site, is extremely durable and able to resist the abrasion, temperatures and chemicals aircraft are exposed to during production, flight and maintenance. The benefits of labelling components with RFID Smart RFID part marking is the answer to a growing need for efficient and error-proof component identification in increasingly complex and worldwide supply chains. Identifying every component with an RFID label enables automated data entry, real-time production and inventory visibility, complete supply chain visibility and streamlined business processes for aerospace manufacturers. For airline operators, it enables automated component lifecycle monitoring, increased safety and maintenance efficiency.

Fast and secure implementation of Lockout/Tagout

Fast and secure implementation of Lockout/Tagout
Lockout/Tagout is a life-saver in maintenance operations. With a lockout/tagout programme, industries can prevent a great number of maintenance related accidents from happening, no matter if MRO activities are outsourced or organised internally. While Lockout/Tagout is very successful, it does require intense preparation to implement. Based on worldwide experience, Brady can help implement best practice lockout/tagout programmes.

These procedures need to be complete and understandable and will require internal discussion, approval and communication to employees involved. Brady can send engineers to your workplace to write machine-specific procedure proposals for your evaluation. While writing machine specific lockout procedures based on best practices, Brady engineers will identify all energy supply points to make sure no energy can reach machines under maintenance.

BRADY, Stay on top of ladder safety

BRADY, Stay on top of ladder safety
Working at heights is still one of the most dangerous activities throughout the EU. Badly maintained, positioned or secured ladders are the major reasons for falls from heights, as mentioned by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. Laddertag helps reduce falls caused by badly maintained ladders.Risk control Reducing and controlling the risks involved when working with ladders, is important for both employees and businesses. Falls from heights can demand a heavy toll in lives lost and injuries sustained, and increase the cost of business through sick leave, disrupted production, insurance premiums, early retirement and training costs for new staff. To support ladder risk control, Brady offers the Laddertag, a Visual Tagging System attached to the ladder itself that clearly communicates when it is fit for use.

BRADY, Durable identification for any laboratory sample!

BRADY, Durable identification for any laboratory sample!
Laboratory samples face a series of tough conditions. They are stored in freezers and liquid nitrogen, exposed to aggressive chemicals and their containers heated in hot water baths. Brady scientists developed sample identification labels to face these tough conditions.Cryo Samples FreezerBondzTM Labels are designed specifically to identify laboratory samples for cryo storage. Easy to apply to any vial or tube, the identification label can be printed with data, a QR- or barcode that will remain legible in liquid nitrogen storage, after exposure to DMSO, Xylene and Ethanol, and even in boiling water.
