Capital Safety has announced an innovative new Engineered Modular Unit designed for easy adjustment and maximum flexibility, without compromising on safety.
Since achieving impressive results in the US Market, the Flexiguard EMU will be coming to the UK, with the official product launch due to take place in June 2015.
For use across a variety of industries, the fully-adjustable FlexiGuard EMU offers increased coverage and protection while working at different heights, without interfering or risking damage to the work area. With three adjustable height models and one fixed height version plus three mounting options, there is a configuration to fit virtually any need.
While the Flexiguard was conceived to bear loads of up to 190kg, its Steel and Aluminium frame being ideal for this purpose, the device is also surprisingly portable. Featuring forklift pockets in the counterweight base, it can be easily transported by forklift and collapsed for convenient storage – all the more impressive considering it can reach somewhere between 3 and 4.5 meters in height when fully extended. Indeed, this emphasis on versatility is present in every aspect of its design. From the installed Glide 360 Rail, which can be locked at intervals of 11 degrees to offer as much or as little movement as is required, to the foldable rotation handle to control rotation, this innovation affords maximum control to the user.
Commenting on their latest solution, Eric Dunpont, Product Manager EMEA for Hard Goods at Capital Safety said: “We have designed the Flexiguard EMU with our customers’ needs, developments within industry and changes in safety standards in mind. The Flexiguard Engineered Modular Unit offers maximum flexibility over a long lifespan thanks to its use of world-class materials and worksmanship.”
Irrespective of its versatility, the Flexiguard EMU is built with the utmost attention to detail when it comes to safety and meets the most stringent of health and safety regulations, including CE EN 795:2012. Its high-visibility colour offers added security by ensuring the unit is conspicuous to personnel and zinc plated and stainless steel hardware provides durability and added corrosion resistance in harsh environments.
