ILPRA has been active in both the food & non-food packaging markets since 1955. Today, after fifty four years, ILPRA has gained unrivalled experience which has enabled the company to remain at the forefront of packaging machinery, technology and components at an international level. This extensive experience in packaging machinery is now complimented by ATM’s forty years of experience in providing robot, automation and handling systems to a diverse range of industries.
The food industry experience which ILPRA possess combined with ATM’s design, software and project management skills will undoubtedly see new and innovative concepts being offered as solutions to the many manual handling and packaging operations which still exist in UK manufacturing plants. ATMs’ technical director Sabir Hirji commented “the experience which we have gained in industries such as medical device, pharmaceutical and automotive will enable ATM to offer cost effective solutions based upon a diverse range of robots, vision inspection and peripheral presentation systems. This in turn will give end users more options in the configuration of their handling and packaging system as we have complete freedom of choice in determining the best combination of automation elements for the task in hand”.
ILPRA UK’s Brian O’Donoghue added, “Although we have always had a great range of packaging machinery to offer our UK customers, we wanted to be able to provide more of the solution upstream and downstream from our machine. This working partnership will allow us to fulfil our aspirations with the added confidence of working with a company such as ATM which has a solid reputation for quality and after sales customer support.”
This new working arrangement will see ATM and ILPRA sharing a stand at the forthcoming PPMA exhibition to be held at the NEC in Birmingham between the 29th September and the 1st October 2009. Details of the planned exhibit, featuring a robot handling system operating with a tray sealing machine will be released soon.
