The award, which Renishaw last won in 2010, is given to a company whose business growth and success is dependent on, or attributable to, the development of its technology.

Control Techniques UK has appointed electrical and automation maintenance company CP Automation as its Integration Partner for the UK cranes and hoists market. The aim of the integration partner agreement is to allow Control Techniques to improve on and standardise its levels of sales and service across the UK in specific sectors.

Caterham Composites and technology experts Altair Engineering GmbH, have extended and expanded their strategic partnership. Both companies have streamlined the critical exchange between design and simulation successfully during 2012. One major project Caterham Composites and Altair Engineering focused on was Caterham Composites’ technical partnership with Alex Thomson Racing. The companies provided engineering support to help Alex Thomson finish the Vendée Globe 2012/2013 in 3rd place.

On Friday 1st February, 2013, Bürkert GB hosted the official opening of its new headquarters to celebrate the successful move into its new, purpose-built premises constructed around a modern factory building in Cirencester. Throughout the day Bürkert opened its doors to customers, distributors, members of the press, the local mayor and even Moto GP rider, Danny Kent.

A roundtable discussion with water industry and regulatory experts has agreed that there is a need for improved maintenance of dissolved oxygen sensors to increase the accuracy of dissolved oxygen measurements. The roundtable, which was hosted by the specialist electrochemical-sensor manufacturer, Analytical Technology, was made up of leading industry and regulatory experts.

On the 22nd January 2013, more than 130 visitors attended the official inauguration of SGS Carbide Tools’ new UK manufacturing facility and European headquarters in Wokingham, Berkshire.
