Yodalex: Audible and Visual Signals In Hazardous Areas
R. STAHL's Yodalex series includes a wide range of signalling devices for hazardous areas, such as the YO6 omni-directional horn, the V6 beacon and the YL6 combination unit. All units feature an IP66 aluminium housing with machined flame paths which provides »ex d» ignition protection (flameproof enclosure).

The YO6 horn has a maximum sound output of 110 dB at one meter, with a sound selection consisting of 32 internationally recognised tones which can easily be set via a five-way DIL switch. The beacon provides a 5 Joule high-intensity flash at a rate of 1 Hz and is available in 7 different lens colours. The dome is manufactured from a flame-retardant polycarbonate material, which is further protected by a steel guard, supplied and fitted as standard. The YL6 combination unit offers a unique design with a fully integrated sounder and strobe built into a single enclosure. The lightweight, cost-effective device provides omni-directional sound and light and requires minimal installation time.

They are ATEX and IECEx-approved for use in zones 1, 2, 21, and 22 for gas and dust atmospheres. In addition to standard 24 and 48 V DC operation, R. STAHL also provides AC units requiring a 115 or 230 V AC supply. Optionally, the devices can be activated through a telephone call. All Yodalex products comply with European as well as North American standards, including UL, Canadian CUL, ATEX, IECEx and Russian GOST-R specifications, thereby offering certification on a global basis.
