Safety analyser tests medical equipment for home use

Homecare is safer and simpler for providers says Rigel Medical following the launch of its latest electrical safety analyser, the SafeTest 60. It puts medical equipment such as beds, hoists and infusion pumps through its paces. The tests are vital for highlighting faults with equipment that does not require patient applied part testing – ensuring it is safe for patient use.

The device, which is produced in the UK and distributed worldwide, features a colour-coded user interface and fast test routine to speed up the process for homecare providers.

Andrew Teasdale, principal systems engineer, said: “The device’s simplicity makes it a great product for entry-level technicians, and it also gives all of the functionality that experienced engineers demand.

“We know that engineers perform a lot of tasks over the course of the day – our job is to streamline that process for them and save them time.”

Andrew Upton, managing director at Seaward Group, Rigel Medical’s parent company, said: “Innovations in technology are making homecare safe and viable for patients and providers alike.

“Having an electrical safety analyser that ensures the safety of everyday homecare equipment gives peace of mind to everyone.

“Ultimately, we’re all here to ensure patients get the best level of care, and Rigel Medical is proud to play its part in keeping vital medical equipment up to scratch.”
