Radiation line sensor facilitates industrial pipe inspection

Hamamatsu Photonics has developed an energy-discriminating radiation line sensor, featuring a direct conversion type semiconductor, to inspect corroded pipe walls.
The product will be available from 1st December to companies that provide inspection services to facilities such as petroleum refineries, petrochemical plants, and power plants.
Hamamatsu will also offer customisation options for certain properties of the line sensor, such as sensitivity, based on customer requirements.
