OGI cameras scan large areas to pinpoint leaks

Designed to spot leaks in compressors, piping, flanges and connections in chemical plants, FLIR Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) cameras are preventative maintenance solutions. Based upon FLIR's proprietary thermal imaging technology the OGI cameras can rapidly scan large areas and pinpoint leaks of a wide range of volatile chemicals including Olefins (Ethylene and Propylene), Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Ammonia, Vinyl Chloride, Butadiene, Acetic Acid, Solvents and VOCs in real time.

Being a non-contact measurement device the FLIR OGI cameras are ideal for monitoring chemical plant process areas/operations, such as Steam Crackers and Reformers, especially for components that are difficult to reach with contact measurement tools.

FLIR OGI cameras have a proven patented (US Patent US7649174) technology called High Sensitivity Mode (HSM) that enables you to detect the smallest of volatile chemical leaks. This is a function in the camera that dramatically enhances its sensitivity.

As a result, the user can see smaller chemical gas leaks from a greater and safer distance compared to traditional ‘sniffing’ methods. Literally thousands of components can be scanned per shift without the need to interrupt the process. It reduces repair downtime and provides verification of the process.

Above all it is exceptionally safe, allowing potentially dangerous leaks to be monitored from several meters away.

FLIR OGI cameras will significantly improve your work safety, enable environmental and regulatory compliance**, help to improve the bottom line by finding leaks that essentially decrease profits and most importantly improve site and worker safety.
