Low Pressure Oil-Filled Stainless Steel Pressure Sensor Model 82
Measurement Specialties, introduces a new constant voltage excitation feature to its industry leading Model 82 Series pressure sensor. The Model 82 Series industrial grade stainless steel isolated sensors are available in pressure ranges from 0 - 1psi through 0 - 500psi and are compatible with corrosive fluids & gasses. The new constant voltage versions allow compatibility with legacy electronics and competitive sensor electronics that run off a constant voltage supply and don’t require the added performance of the standard constant current versions.
The Model 82 is a 19mm low profile, media compatible, piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor packaged in a 316L stainless steel housing. The sensing package utilizes silicone oil to transfer pressure from the 316L stainless steel diaphragm to the sensing element. A ceramic substrate is attached to the package that contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature compensation and offset correction. The circuit is trimmed so that the output of each sensor is 100mV ±1% for the full scale pressure with a 10V input. This product is intended for many pressure applications such as medical instruments, process control, fresh and waste water measurements, partial vacuum gas measurement, pressure transmitters, and tank level systems. The constant voltage versions include various process fittings and electronic connections such as solder pads, ribbon cable, or cable with connector.

Measurement Specialties, Inc. designs and manufactures sensors and sensor-based systems. The Company produces a wide variety of sensors and transducers to measure precise ranges of physical characteristics such as pressure, force, vibration, position, humidity and photo optics. Measurement Specialties uses multiple advanced technologies – including piezoresistive, electro-optic, electro-magnetic, capacitive, application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), piezoelectric polymers and strain gauges – to engineer sensors that operate precisely and cost effectively.
