Cool and safe – what more can you ask from laser safety eyewear. As Laser Components points out it is the most important consideration when designing or selling a product which features lasers. Many of these products use high power lasers to promote operation use in bright environments or for good imaging contrast.

Dialight’s SafeSite LED High Bay delivers up to 23,500 fixture lumens enabling applications in oil, gas and petrochemical environments. It boasts 110 lumens per Watt and comes with a 10-year performance warranty. Featuring an in-house designed power supply, and next generation LED technology and advanced optical design, Dialight claims that the new LED fixture marks a major step forward in the future of energy efficiency for hazardous environments.

A Dock Gate has been added to FabEnCo's portfolio of safety products. The OSHA-compliant gate provides fall protection from loading docks.

Occupational safety solutions for onshore and offshore wind turbine applications will be showcased by Honeywell at the WindEnergy exhibition. Amongst the products on display will be the Miller Evac-Bodysplint rescue stretcher, Miller HandZup work positioning lanyard, Miller Revolution R7 harness and the Söll MultiRail.

In order to help isolate the hygiene critical production areas, two large food additive production sites have specified sara Sprint high speed roller doors. The sara LBS Sprint range, the company claims, offers the fastest operating speeds on the market which minimises the opportunity for contaminants to ingress into the protected areas. In addition, thanks to the premium quality of the product, a permanent tension is held on the door curtains, which creates a vermin seal when closed.

A series of flexible hardware/software emergency messaging platforms from Digital Alert Systems, a division of Monroe Electronics, have been upgraded. In cooperation with DM Engineering, the DASDEC series now supports the DM Engineering Multi-Station Relay Adapter (MSRA) and Multi-Station Relay Expander (MSRE) switching devices. 

At Security Essen, from 23rd to 26th September in Germany, Honeywell will demonstrate the company's FAAST portfolio at Booth 211 in Hall 3. Including a preview of the high sensitivity four-inlet XT device, there will be live demonstrations of FAAST achieving false alarm immunity in industrial conditions and hands-on FAAST LT and Pipe IQ design sessions.

A series of current sensing switches, providing a limit alarm contact, has been introduced by NK Technologies. The company claim that the ASD Series provide the alarm contact with the easiest adjustment method ever designed. Featuring a single turn potentiometer, the switches allow the trip point to be set before the sensor is installed or before the monitored circuit is energised.

Passing nine extreme environmental tests (including vibration, temperature and humidity), Honeywell Life Safety has claimed that the FAAST (Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology) aspiration detection system is the first to be approved by one of Europe’s leading nuclear power plant (NPP) operators for installation in their facilities’ most demanding locations, the reactor building.
