Since the early 1980s, BBA Pumps has been building the B-series range of self priming centrifugal pumps for a variety of applications. Available in sizes from 1ʺ up to 12ʺ these pumps are particularly popular for applications where low-tech solutions are required or preferred and trouble-free running at a budget price is crucial.
It is clear that the engine cooling performance becomes more critical at high ambient temperatures. Dust or sand particles can also cause damage to your equipment. The popular diesel driven 6ʺ solids handling BE160 model has now been modified from a technical point of view. These changes make the BE160 suitable for operating in regions and continents where the ambient temperatures can be extremely high.
The BE160, with a max. flow of 345 m3/h, is now available with an air cooled diesel engine. The major benefit on this is that the user does not have to pay any attention to polluted radiators and overheated engines. In addition the heavy duty bearing block of the pump is designed for the BBA auto prime series, so the BE160 can even run dry for a short time.
