Sandvik DecorexTM combines an appealing color range and various surfaces textures with the excellent processing properties and technical benefits of stainless steel strip. Currently available in thicknesses up to 0.8mm and in widths up to 370mm, Sandvik DecorexTM is available in several industry standard stainless steel grades.

Sandvik DecorexTM coiled strip is delivered color-coated with excellent adhesion between the base material and the surface layer. Our advanced technology system uses a roll-to-roll process where single or multiple layer coatings can be applied to one or both sides of the strip. Most bending and forming processes do not affect the color.
Compared to post-operation color coating methods of paintings and other coatings, Sandvik DecorexTM removes manufacturing steps which shortens production time, with less material tied up in production and stock. The color stability of this innovative material improves production yields and green practices, as it doesn’t require any wet operations during the coloration process.

Sandvik DecorexTM has complete color consistency along the whole strip length and from batch to batch. Components can be optimally designed enabling producers to take advantage of economical, reliable and repeatable processing. In addition, close controls of Sandvik production processes lead to very tight flatness and accurate color layer tolerances. As a result, productivity gains can be seen in blanking, stamping, deep drawing, punching and grinding operations.

All Sandvik DecorexTM surface finishes are scratch resistant and meet the toughest pencil hardness tests according to ISO 15184 or ASTM D3363 standards. Surfaces are also fingerprint resistant.
