The Automation Group of Parker Hannifin has recently completed one year on the road with its exhibition vehicle. The truck has completed more than 24,000 miles, travelled to 14 countries and has been visited by more than 4600 customers. The vehicle takes Parker Automation’s latest products and technologies directly to the customer with demonstrations and explanations from Parker engineers to help solve application challenges.
Covering applications ranging from air preparation to motion control, the exhibition vehicle showcases products in an innovative way through display boards and interactive zones. The visitor experience has been designed to be hands-on, to create a rapid learning environment.
Commenting on the exhibition vehicle, Nigel Steel, Group Marketing Communications Manager – Automation, Parker Hannifin said: “The core concept of the vehicle and tour is to present a mobile exhibition space, very much like a stand that customers might see at an industry trade show. In today’s modern, fast-paced environment it is becoming more challenging for customers to find the time needed to visit trade shows. This tour brings the trade show experience and technical support directly to the customer saving them valuable time.”
The 48m2 exhibition space is created by two extending pods which, when in show mode, create a fully air conditioned space. The vehicle features a modular display system which can be customised depending on the needs of the audience. Tablet computers give visitors a virtual, interactive product tour, via an in-house developed app which is also available to view online.
