Optimas Components displays products and expertise at FAST Exhibition

For customers looking to replace fasteners in their current line of products, Optimas Components can leverage over 50 years of experience in the field and select from a vast range products and experience from their global fastener manufacturing partners.

The standard ranges cover nylon and steel materials; BA, metric and unified tread types; a wide variety of head styles; push fit, snap in and quarter turn nylon fasteners; and adherence to a plethora of standards such as DIN, ISO and BS.

In addition, Optimas Components can cater to situations where a standard fastener is not available by partnering with a customer’s design team to create a bespoke fastener or component. The in-house design services offered by Optimas Components draw on a wealth of practical experience in designing products for a variety of requirements ranging from an adaptation of an existing part through to a complete unique design developed specifically for a custom application.

A full service project can be managed right through to delivery of the final parts – all controlled by ISO 9001:2008 quality systems.

Customers can also save time and simplify their manufacturing and logistics processes by using the application engineering team at Optimas Components with their wide knowledge of fastener technologies – speeding up production assembly processes and cutting costs.

Reducing bill of materials, removing secondary processes, assisting with parts specifications, and saving time on assembly and labour are some of the benefits the applications engineering team can offer.

Examples of the standard products offered include a wide variety of washers, many types of head styles, nylon nuts and screws, stainless steel fasteners, and tamper proof and security products. A large number of assortment kits are also available, including kits for nylon washers, nuts and screws as well as a many kits for stainless steel fasteners.

As an example, the Metric Nylon Screw Assortment Kit contains an assortment of 18 popular sizes of countersunk and cheese-head slotted screws, hexagon nuts and washers ranging in sizes from M3 to M5.
