Award ceremony recognises apprentices and trainees

A training provider for apprenticeships in the UK, Qube Learning are celebrating the success of the learners and employers and holding an awards ceremony in London on 16th March 2017. This occasion is an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment of the inspiring apprentices and trainees that work within Qube Learning’s portfolio which include Halfords, Peacocks and EWM.

With well-known individuals from the education sector and Qube Learning’s clients attending it is set to be an eventful evening and with National Apprenticeship Week and the Apprenticeship Levy nearing this is a great way to champion those unseen stars that really make a difference to businesses.

One of the hosts, Laura Hamilton, is the face of Channel 4’s popular show A Place in the Sun. Being passionate about vocational routes into careers, Laura previously turned down university for an internship with Channel 4 - which involved making tea for Dermot O’Leary.

Hamilton said she feels there is great importance in making sure we encourage children to make decisions that will help carve out positive futures for them.

Qube are also working with Grainne McCoy, from the recent series of The Apprentice. This is a subject close to her heart as she did not follow the typical education path but became a mum at the age of sixteen and from that point on she knew she wanted succeed and be an inspiration to her son.

McCoy said her drive and motivation saw her open her own make-up studio in Northern Ireland where she taught classes, and has since became a popular semi-finalist on Alan Sugar’s BBC show The Apprentice.

Both are available for interview before the Award ceremony, and there will also be guests including; Debbie Gardiner – CEO and Joe Crossley - Commercial Director as well as case studies and client comments, such as Halfords and DHL.

The event will take place in the Waldorf Hilton Hotel, London and starts at 6pm.

Accolades will also go out to employers who have contributed to the invaluable training and development of the learners.

The evening will start with a drinks reception followed by the award ceremony and a three course meal whilst our glamorous hosts compere the evening.
