Merlin Is Always Pole Position With Thruxton Race Circuit
Merlin Power Management, is providing Thruxton Motorsport Centre with a ‘plug and play’ solution to power up a range of services during race championships help at the Andover Race Circuit. The state-of-the-art power supply system is being used for a wide range of power support functions including power to the paddocks, ticket huts and Thruxton’s campsite for the toilets and showers.
Merlin’s solution consists of a number of standby generators together with cabling and distribution boxes. Developed by Merlin’s technical team to make ‘on-site’ installation quicker and easier, the cables, plugs and sockets are all colour coded for foolproof installation. The ‘plug and play’ system enables the installation between Merlin’s generators, an AMF panel and the customer’s load to be carried out using only five plug/socket connections.

“We have used Merlin Power Management for 15 years”, said Tom Jones, Circuit Manager at Thruxton Motorsport Centre. “There is never a problem with the equipment which is always delivered on time ready for use”.

Available for three-phase generators from 30kVA – 110 kVA, Merlin’s ‘plug & play’ generator rental system ensures event management companies and exhibition organisers can get essential facilities up and running as quickly as possible.

Co-ordinated from Merlin's control centre in Andover, Hampshire the company's nationwide team of factory trained engineers ensures that customers hiring its ‘plug and play’ systems are provided with the highest levels of service and support throughout the UK mainland.

Merlin Power Management offers a range of services that include power analysis and consultancy, relocation and refurbishment, rental of generators and UPS, thermal imaging, fixed wire testing, refuelling and installation services as well as generator customisation and decommissioning. It also provides load bank testing, the installation and repair of bulk fuel storage as well as the routine and emergency maintenance of generators, UPS, rectifiers and DC batteries.
