Power analyser accuracy can save thousands of euros
The WT3000E Transformer Version is a newly-introduced precision power analyser developed by Yokogawa. It is dedicated to testing the power transformers used in the power utilities’ transmission and distribution sectors. With an accuracy of 0.5% at power factors as low as 0.01 at 100 V and 1 A, the WT3000E Transformer Version is ideally suited to the precision testing of transformer losses, allowing transformer manufacturers to avoid potential fines imposed by power authorities that could run into thousands of euros.

Revamped user interface enhances plant training simulation

February 1 is the release date for OmegaLand V3.1, an enhanced version of the OmegaLand integrated dynamic simulation environment from Omega Simulation, a subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric. OmegaLand is a core element of Omega Simulation’s plant training simulator. In the oil, natural gas, petrochemical, chemical, and other industries, the number of skilled operators continues to decline each year.

It has been announced that the subsidiary of Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Yokogawa United Kingdom has received an order from the British Pipeline Agency (BPA) to supply a management and control system for a major multi-product fuel pipeline system. This project will replace BPA’s existing pipeline management and Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Digital remote sensor delivers liquid measurement accuracy
Released for sale in Europe is Yokogawa Electric’s EJXC40A digital remote sensor, a newly developed DPharp EJX series differential pressure transmitter. Equipped with two pressure sensors that are connected with an electric cable, the EJXC40A measures liquid levels in large tanks and large differential pressure with high-pressure fluids.

The new Yokogawa AQ6375B is an optical spectrum analyser operating in the short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) region covering wavelengths from 1200 to 2400 nm. BP renews Yokogawa Electric service deal
A global services agreement has been renewed between Yokogawa Electric and BP. The deal means Yokogawa Electric will supply main automation contractor services (MAC services) to BP's upstream entities. The provision of MAC Services is an arrangement whereby a plant owner seeks to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and speed up project delivery by assigning responsibility for supplying a control system solution to a single automation vendor.
