A Birmingham City University team has successfully completed its latest two-year automotive supply chain support programme for Birmingham Chamber’s Accelerate programme. It has also seen scheme beneficiary, Barkley Plastics carry off both the ‘Large SME’ and ‘Best Birmingham Company’ titles in Accelerate’s 2008 Supplier Awards.

Monday 9th June sees Birmingham City University’s design and process innovation team offer a free, day-long conference which will explore the implications of product development using knowledge-based engineering (KBE). Led by KBE-specialist, Craig Chapman, the event offers Midlands industry the opportunity to learn about this ‘quantum leap’ in industrial design technology at the University’s Technology Innovation Centre (TIC), central Birmingham.
