Portescap has announced the expansion of the Ultra EC range of brushless DC slotless motors with the introduction of the new 30ECT motor. This 4 pole motor offers ultra-high torque and power (up to 245W, max continuous) without compromising on the smooth operation and long life you expect from Portescap´s brushless slotless motors.

A new autoclavable brushless DC motor controller has been introduced by Portescap, the CNT1530, for driving large bone orthopedic handpiece motors. The controller leverages Portescap´s autoclavable design capability and surgical application expertise to provide a reliable, customisable solution to the orthopedic market.

The new Ultra EC range of Brushless motors from Portescap has been expanded with the 22ECP35 two pole brushless DC motor. As part of the Ultra EC platform of brushless slotless mini motion solutions, these cost-optimised motors offer 30% more continuous torque and 100% more power over similar comparative motors without compromising the smooth operation and long life required from a brushless DC motor.

The new 16DCT motor has been introduced by Portescap to its high torque DCT range of Athlonix motors. The 16DCT motor can deliver continuous torque up to 5.24mNm at a length of only 26mm. The 16DCT utilises powerful Neodymium magnets and Portescap's proven energy efficient coreless design.

The Portescap’s new 20DBM series is now available from Mclennan, and can stack linear actuators, combines a hollow-shaft 48-step ´tin-can´ stepper motor and a precision leadscrew with an axially preloaded nut. With proven applications in medical equipment, valve control and miniature positioning stages, the 20DBM is a convincing solution for cost-effective and compact linear positioning.

A new 22mm diameter motor has been added to Portescap’s DCT line of Athlonix Brush DC motors. The new 22DCT motor features proven energy efficient coreless design with an optimised self-supporting coil and magnetic circuit, the 22DCT delivers higher performance in a compact package.

Portescap’sAthlonix 24DCT series of high-torque coreless brushed DC motors, has support from Mclennan and features torque density, as well as up to 90% efficiency, perfectly suiting miniature power transmission applications where energy consumption needs to be minimised or where high torque output is required in small installation envelopes.

  A range of high power density can stack linear actuators, the 20DBM, has been introduced by Portescap. These 20mm linear stepper motors offer an optimised design suitable for applications demanding high linear force.

The 24DCT miniature motor features Portescap´s proven energy efficient coreless design with an optimized self-supporting coil and magnetic circuit which ensures higher performance is delivered, all in a compact 24mm diameter size.With torque carrying capabilities reaching up to 14.96 mNm, the 24DCT provides high performance with efficiency reaching up to 90% while maintaining a long lifetime. Due to the inherent design of the 24DCT motor, it can deliver higher torque per ampere which leads to better battery life. This makes it ideal for battery driven applications such as medical and industrial pumps, drug delivery systems, robotic systems (bionic fingers), miniature industrial power tools, tattoo machines, mesotherapy guns, dental tools, watch winders and more. Other applications such as lab automation, security and access and humanoid robots can also excel using the 24DCT Athlonix motor.

Portescap introduces the newest addition to our Ultra ECTM mini motor platform, the 22ECT brushless motor, designed specifically to deliver ultra high torque in a compact size.   With the unique coil technology and a patent pending multipolar rotor design, the 22ECT has been developed to be one of the most advanced and highest performing brushless slotless motors in its class. The 22ECT is specifically optimized for high continuous torque at low to medium speeds, maximizing power between 10 K and 20 K rpm. These motors are capable of delivering 2 times higher continuous torque than comparable BLDC motors of same size over the entire low speed range when used with gears.The 22ECT is constructed with an enhanced high efficiency magnetic circuit that significantly reduces both iron and joule losses, the primary causes for motor stator heating.
