Several powerful new capabilities have been announced by Keysight Technologies for the ultrafast-scanning 9500 atomic force microscope.. These new capabilities include quantitative mapping of nanomechanical properties as well as electrochemistry applications and scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) techniques. The Keysight 9500 used in both the scientific and industrial markets offers scan rates up to 2sec/frame and comprehensive environmental control.

Two higher temperature models have been added to the Keysight Technologies thermal imagers portfolio. The U5856A and U5857A can perform temperature measurements up to 650 and 1200°C respectively. This allows users to detect a wide temperature range for various applications such as petrochemical and steel processing, electrical and mechanical applications, building maintenance and even electronics applications.

An ultrafast-scanning 9500 atomic force microscope has been unveiled by Keysight Technologies. The Keysight 9500 AFM system integrates new software, a new high-bandwidth digital controller, and a state-of-the-art mechanical design to provide scan rates of up to 2s/frame (256x256 pixels).

EDS capabilities added to FE-SEM system

Keysight Technologies’ latest field-emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), the 8500B, offers scientists the analytical power of energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), fully integrated within a compact, low-voltage FE-SEM. The plug-and-play FE-SEM has been designed for use in practically any lab and requires only an AC power outlet. The image resolution rivals that of much larger and more expensive FE-SEMs.

The B2980A Series of graphical femto/picoammeters and electrometers from Keysight Technologies can confidently measure down to 0.01fA which is 0.01 x 10-15A, and up to 10 petaohms (PΩ) which is 10 x 1015Ohms. In recent years, research and development into new materials, such as nanomaterial, graphene, polymers and dielectric material, has increased significantly.
