Industrial camera manufacturer IDS Imaging Development Systems will be at this year’s VISION show from 8th-10th November in Stuttgart, introducing a number of new camera series featuring USB 3.1 and GigE connectors. The focus will be on more powerful sensors, robust housing and connection technology, as well as on a simple integration of the cameras.

At VISION 2012, IDS presented its new, ultra-compact GigE industrial cameras with Ethernet cable power supply; the first PoE models from the GigE uEye RE series will be available from March. The range includes various options with CMOS or CCD sensors, and with resolutions from WVGA to 10 megapixels - all powered over Ethernet and ideally equipped to handle tough ambient conditions.

CMOS technology at its very best: The new 1.3 Megapixel EV76C661 sensor from e2v offers excellent sensitivity with a Quantum Efficiency of 80% and outstanding performance and dynamic range in the near-infrared spectrum (40 % at 850 nm).
