Powerful mold flow analysis software has recently been added by Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions, to help with the design of custom-molded lead screw and linear motion components. Tooling engineers at Haydon Kerk use Solid Works Plastic Professional to help speed up the design process and offer customised solutions to fit customer’s application needs.

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has announced the release of its new line of WGS motorized linear stages. The WGS line is now directly integrated into Haydon Kerk’s step motor family using its patented design. The motorized WGS can be ordered and shipped within 24 hours from the Haydon Kerk e-commerce website.

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has added the world’s smallest anti-backlash lead screw assembly design to its line of Micro Series screws (2mm diameter screws).  Its ZBM nut technology can be customized to specific applications that require unique geometry and custom materials, such as Kerkite composite polymers.  Haydon Kerk also has in-house molding and mold-making departments to help develop custom solutions for its customers. This new Micro Series anti-backlash nut with optional TFE-coated screw is now available 24/7 at the Haydon Kerk Express Store. 

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has added the WGS Wide Guide Screw to its linear slide product line. Made from the same quality components used in the RGS Linear Rail series, the WGS Linear Slide utilises a screw-driven carriage that offers reliable, continuous linear speed, while maintaining accurate positioning. Length and speed of the WGS are not limited by critical screw speed, allowing high RPM, linear speed and long stroke lengths.

The DCM4826X is a bipolar 2 phase chopper drive package rated for a 12-48VDC input voltage and a continuous output current rating of 2.6A rms (3.68A peak) per phase. The drive can be used with rotary stepper motors or stepper motor-based linear actuators and can be configured for full step, half step, or microstep (1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64 step size).

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has introduced the Haydon RoHS compliant IDEA Size 23 Non-captive Linear Actuator. The IDEA Size 23 linear actuator combines high-output force, rotary to linear motion, stepper drive and programmable control in a single integrated package. Linear travel per step ranges from 0.000125” (0.0031mm) to 0.005” (0.127mm) and output force up to 200 lbf (890N).

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions has introduced the Haydon™ RoHS compliant PCM7539X IDEA programmable stepper motor drive capable of a 75VDC input voltage and a max output current of 3.85A RMS. This unit is designed to control the larger-size stepper motor linear actuators offered by Haydon Kerk and has the same functionality and programmability as the lower- power IDEA drives. The introduction of the PCM7539X completes the power range for the platform and allows the popular IDEA system to be used with any stepper motor product currently offered by Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions. The PCM7539X in particular is designed to control the larger size 23 and size 34 stepper motor units.

The Kerk RGS/RGW linear rail platform by Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions now includes a 180o folded-over motorized design. This design allows for a small footprint linear actuator system perfect for precision motion applications where space is at a premium.

The IDEA stepper motor drive platform now has the capability of communication using an RS-485 data protocol. The RS-485 protocol overcomes the limitations of other drive communication methods making the RS-485 IDEA drive module perfect for industrial applications.
