Harwin continues to show its credentials in respect to the further promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to younger generations. In order to ensure that students attending Havant & South Downs College (HSDC) have access to the hardware necessary to support their ongoing education, it is donating a robot arm - a package worth more than £30,000.

A privately owned family business, Harwin, was founded back in 1952 by Patrick De Lazlo and his family. Now his son Damon is the CEO of the connectors company, and this year Harwin has been awarded EN 9100 certification. The high reliability (Hi-Rel) connector manufacturer has demonstrated a commitment to the aerospace industry which has been recognised through its supply chain excellence.

  The UK-wide initiative to encourage more young people into manufacturing as a career, Made Here Now, is celebrating a major milestone with the launch of a new website at MadeHereNow.com, containing inspirational videos, success stories and photography.

To help its users find and select the right product for their projects with greater ease, Harwin has updated its website. While the homepage and navigation system are the same, the CMS-based website has enabled the company to add to the content significantly. The website now includes training modules and videos, 3D drawings of Harwin's popular ranges, including EZ-BoardWare, Datamate and Archer and many other features.
