Power supply manufacturer shortlisted for two awards
TDK-Lambda UK has been shortlisted for two categories for Insider Media's Made in the South West Awards 2016. The power supply manufacturer, which celebrates 50 years in Ilfracombe this year, is shortlisted for the ‘Advanced Manufacturer’ and ‘Large Manufacturing Company of the Year’ awards.
Manufacturers from across the region, including a handmade ice cream producer, an artisan confectioner and a maker of people dryers for the leisure industry, join TDK-Lambda in the running to win an award.
The shortlist was decided by a judging panel chaired by South West Business Insider editor Graham Southorn. He commented: “It was really difficult to decide on the shortlist this year, as the standard of entries was so high. We had an enjoyable debate on the judging day, and many congratulations to all those shortlisted.”
Martin Southam, Marketing Director at TDK-Lambda EMEA, said: “World-class design and engineering remains strong in the UK and these awards inspire manufacturers to excel in their field. It is an honour for TDK-Lambda to be shortlisted in two different categories, and I’m optimistic for success.”
The winners of each category will be announced during a ceremony that takes place on Wednesday 2nd November at the Mercure, Bristol Grand.
Winners will automatically go through to the national Made in the UK Awards in 2017, which is part of the National Festival for Business.
