The first 50 visitors to go onto the Contact Us page on the new website and fill out the enquiry form, stating in the ‘your message’ section “request a kit” will receive a sample box containing burrs and vitrified mounted points completely free.
Paul Batson, Sales and Marketing Director, says: “Our strategy for business development is based around three distinct business units: Master Precision Abrasives; Master Surface Finishing, and Master Tool Services. Each business unit offers a comprehensive product portfolio and service package designed specifically for the industrial and manufacturing engineering markets.”
As well as a powerful Search function, a ‘drop down’ navigation bar provides quick access to each of the three key areas. The Master Precision Abrasives section contains details of the comprehensive range of conventional and super abrasives offered, as well as grinding quills and dressing systems and tools. In the Master Surface Finishing section visitors can find details of just about every surface finishing product an engineering company could require, such as mounted points and rotary burrs, Masterflex finishing products, non-woven and rubber products. Details of the range of rotary tools and accessories, along with the service and repair options available are contained in the Master Tool Servicessection.
Within the product pages the company has included a wealth of important documents, such as downloadable PDF brochures, a 2013 price list and also key ‘Material Safety Data Sheets’. The news page will be updated regularly with any newsletters, editorials and so on. The website will be a continual development, and Master Abrasives welcomes feedback from users.
Having served the UK and global engineering industries for most of its 46 year history, the 35-employee strong company fully understands what customers require from a modern day supplier of abrasives and allied services. “That is why we have created the new website with distinct sections that are easy to find, with enough product and technical information to support engineers without overwhelming them,” Paul Batson adds.
At the start of 2013, ownership of the company passed from Meister Abrasives International group holding company, Abraxos Holding AG, Switzerland, and the business reinstated its previous name, Master Abrasives. The independent company is now wholly owned by the UK management team, Andy Miller – Managing Director, Paul Batson – Sales and Marketing Director, and Jamie Ward – Finance Director.
The MBO is fully supported by the Swiss parent company, and Master Abrasives will continue to exclusively support and sell the Meister range of advanced super abrasive products in the UK and Eire. As Paul Batson concludes: “From a customer point of view: there is no change. There are no staff changes and we will continue to provide the high level of professional service and quality products on the same terms that we have become known for. A visit to the new website will confirm just how committed we are to supporting UK industry.”
