New versions of the FLIR T250/T335/T365/T425 and the FLIR P660/P640 and P620 will now also be able to transfer radiometric images via WiFi to an iPad or iPhone as a standard feature. This capability was introduced in the higher end FLIR T-Series and the new FLIR E-Series thermal imaging cameras and it allows important data to be shared with colleagues, over distance. Customers have reported this as being a great facility when measurements need to be taken in limited access or hazardous environments.
Not only can others see the images, they can also analyse them directly on their iPad or iPhone thanks to the FLIR Viewer app that is easily downloaded. Comprehensive reports can be easily generated and e-mailed to a customer, colleague or manager.
Meterlink technology is the second new standard feature on the upgraded FLIR T- and P-Series cameras. This makes it possible to transfer, via Bluetooth, data acquired by an Extech clamp meter and embed it in the thermal image. It negates the need for note taking and speeds up the reporting process as all values are automatically included in the report.
