“The new TKTL infrared thermometer range has been designed around the needs of the user”, said Andy Mynett, Product Manager at SKF. “They enable quick and easy temperature measurement of hot and moving parts, helping users reduce unplanned downtime, while enhancing user safety”.
Equipped with a built-in LED illuminator to help visualise the subject even in poorly lit environments, the new models can accurately read temperatures between -60 and +625°C, with a distance to spot ratio of 16:1, enabling precise temperature measurement even at a distance. In addition, powerful PC software is supplied as standard enabling comprehensive image analysis and professional report creation.
The entry level TKTL 10 is a robust and easy to use instrument with a fixed emissivity of 0.95 and is suitable for many applications. For more advanced users, the TKTL 20 has user selectable emissivity values and a number of advanced measurement modes and alarm functions. For added versatility, the TKTL 20 is supplied with a temperature probe, which enables direct contact measurements to be performed. Both devices are IP54 rated making them suitable for challenging industrial environments.
