Shentongroup LAUNCHES DUAL FUEL WASTE TO ENERGY SYSTEM
Pioneering, power solutions company, shentongroup, is launching a state-of-the-art dual fuel waste to energy system called Duplo™. As well as being a prime power source, Duplo™ can also provide hot water via an optional heat exchanger and be fitted with a control system that enables excess electricity to be exported to the National Grid.
Duplo runs on standard Diesel, Biodiesel, Natural Gas, Biogas or a combination of any of these using the very latest dual fuel technology. Having multiple fuel sources not only significantly improves the generator’s resilience for continuous operation but also appreciably reduces running costs compared to single-fuel solutions. Duplo reduces engine wear and produces far lower emissions than a normal diesel only system and has an enhanced ability to cope with variations in gas quality and pressure.

An option to provide hot water via the Hexpac™ heat exchanger at the same time as generating electricity turns Duplo into a combined heat & power system. This provides commercial or industrial premises with the option of an integrated approach to delivering both prime power and hot water.

Duplo can also be fitted with control system that enables any excess electricity to be exported to the National Grid. This lets users take advantage of the Feed in Tariff Scheme, which pays businesses to generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources. The scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by renewable sources as well as a separate payment for any electricity exported to the grid.

Duplo is suitable for any commercial or industrial site with insufficient or no mains power. Systems are available in a wide range of sizes from 50kwe up to 2Mwe and more if require. Smaller Duplo systems are modular, fully integrated systems assembled into ISO containers for increased flexibility and ease of use.

All Duplo systems are supported by shentongroup’s Infinium™ service and maintenance programme. This is a perpetual renewal, maintenance and warranty programme that provides for fixed cost on site service and maintenance for the working life of the system (excluding fuel).
