The new N-725 PIFOC scanner for microscope objectives with NEXACT piezo stepping drives provides travel ranges of up to one millimeter along the optical axis. At the same time the technology allows rapid positioning: The N-725 focusing system achieves transient times of around 20 milliseconds for steps of 200 nanometers. It has an extremely compact design and is no larger than conventional, piezo-based PIFOC objective stages.

Using the shipped software, you can configure the cameras precisely to the requirements of your application, by setting their resolution and frame rate. With Baumer’s FlexProgrammer 9701, all pressure transmitters of the PB family can now easily be configured on PC. The battery-powered device can be used to recalibrate the full scale and the zero signal, to readjust the pressure range up to 20 % F.S., and for the data logging of pressure and temperature signals. Furthermore, with the FlexProgrammer the upper and lower output signals as well as the alarm output signal can be parameterised.

New Scale Technologies, Inc. announced its M3-F focus module for miniature OEM cameras used in handheld products; portable biometric sensors; targeting, surveillance and security systems; and medical diagnostic and imaging devices. At only 20 x 22 x 18.5 mm – about the same dimensions as a fixed lens holder – the M3-F focus module improves image quality over a wide range of focus distances without adding volume or significantly increasing power usage.
