Updating its range of safety quick release pins, WDS Component Parts have introduced 13 new sizes. The new parts are available in 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12mm diameters and shaft lengths from 20-80mm (total lengths from 49-123.3mm). Weights vary from 24-129g. Each pin’s release button is recessed so that it cannot be pushed accidently, and they are designed for simple fastening and adjusting. 

A surprise finding has been made by a researcher at The University of Manchester, after observing variations of a chemical bond with a radioactive metal called thorium – and this newly revealed relationship could one day contribute to improving nuclear fuel management.
