Miniature ball screws deliver optimum accuracy

A new miniature ball screw line called optiSLITE has been introduced by Steinmeyer. Featuring low friction torque that delivers smoother running and enables greater accuracy, these screws also provide a result that is a superior positioning performance in semiconductor, optics, medical instrument, and metrology applications.

Manufactured in Germany, the optiSLITE miniature ball screws follow trend of all Steinmeyer products. The ball screws undergo a proprietary finishing process that removes micron-sized defects on the shaft raceway. The elimination of these irregularities enables optiSLITE miniature ball screws to provide the highly-accurate positioning required in precision applications.

“All of our miniature ball screws are meticulously engineered and manufactured to provide highly-accurate positioning,” stated Bruce Gretz, Executive Vice President of Steinmeyer. He added: “With our smoothest raceways yet, optiSLITE miniature ball screws deliver lower friction torque and smoother operation than ever before.”

Like all Steinmeyer products, optiSLITE miniature ball screws offer dynamic delivery of linear motion at high standards of precision and longevity. The screws feature shaft diameters down to 5mm and pitch down to 1mm. Available in standard lengths and nut designs.
