Breather caps and level indicators hit the mark for hand pumps

These are pumps which are likely to find themselves as operationally critical in especially arduous conditions such as: marine on-board, from yachts to lifeboats, ferries, oil rigs and gas platforms, as well as process plants, pumping sites and food processing, medical lifting equipment and for use on construction sites.

Aerospace/Defence – helicopter and aircraft service and maintenance are also important environments.

At a time when most manufacturers were still using plated carbon steel components, Sarum Hydraulics saw the chance to use the Elesa innovative moulded polymer filler breather caps across their range of high grade stainless steel hydraulic pumping products.

Sarum Hydraulics has standardised on the safe-fill SFP filler breather allowing easy addition of the FRF basket, dipsticks and the SFW pressurised cap. This combination prevents backsplash and ingress of foreign material. For level indication, the HCX INOX liquid level sight gauge with transparent sight tube and stainless steel fittings at 127mm or 254mm centres are a robust choice.
