National Grid Gas tRIIO team to headline NEEG event

Headlining the next event from the Network Engineering and Equipment Group, (NEEG), is the National Grid Gas tRIIO team, taking place on 16th February in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

tRIIO is a joint venture organisation, owned by Morrison Utility Services and Skanska UK working in partnership with National Grid to improve the supply of gas to millions of people living and working in North London and the East of England.

Peter Day, Manager of NEEG said: “This project is of particular interest to our members and I am really pleased that Matt Dolan and Tracy Hine from National Grid’s tRIIO team are coming to share their insights with us.”

Day continued: “This challenging project covers 15,500 square miles of territory, will see 8,000km of pipeline laid and 800,000 new service connections installed all in eight years. With 3000 staff and over 14 million people to keep warm and safe, I am looking forward to hearing how the complexities of a project of this scale are being managed.”

The group will also hear from EU Skills, Lloyds Register, The Gas Safety Industry Trust and The Energy Innovation Centre.
