Compressors on show at Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014

The GA 90+-160 compressors include a wide range of energy savings features including an IE3 motor, no-loss water separator drain, energy recovery module and in-built dryers. The unique integrated dryer concept delivers clean, dry air to improve reliability and increase energy savings. With a reduced floor space, installation costs are also considerably reduced. Thousands of Atlas Copco GA air compressors are operating around the globe in applications like power plants, mining, cement, glass and metal industries. The new GA 90+-160 range is the result of solid industry knowledge combined with innovative features.

Also on the stand will be a model from Atlas Copco’s groundbreaking GA 7-37kW VSD+ compressor range. Launched in 2013, and extended with smaller-sized models earlier this year that bring the benefits of VSD technology to the reach of smaller manufacturers, GA VSD+ compressors provide industry-leading energy savings of 50% on average, a 13% leap in Free Air Delivery and a canopy less than half the size of traditional fixed speed compressors. This breakthrough in energy efficiency is made possible by Atlas Copco’s own 100% patented interior permanent magnet (iPM) motors which drive, and form the heart of, all GA VSD+ compressors.

Visitors will also be able to learn about other technologies from Atlas Copco that support sustainable productivity, including energy recovery systems, which enable as much as 94 per cent of the electrical energy used by an industrial air compressor to be recycled and redirected in the form of heated air or water, and AIRnet, a fast and easy to install compressed air pipework system.

In addition, there will be information on the stand about SMARTLINK, Atlas Copco’s latest data monitoring programme for compressors which intelligently gathers, compares and analyses data to help compressed air users improve maintenance and service efficiency.
