South Africa stores saving energy like there’s no tomorrow

South Africa’s second largest supermarket chain store, Pick n Pay is currently saving on average over eight percent in electricity costs across two of its stores, all thanks to Powerstar South Africa. The company, which is enjoying its largest period of growth since entering the market in 2010 has also, provided solutions to Investec, Continental Cars and the Manhattan Hotel, which have saved 11.51%, 13.6% and 20.71% in energy charges respectively.

The company has also recently signed an agreement with Rhino Lighting, which will see the roll out of technology-based power-saving solutions and products to companies based in the Eastern Cape Province, with the aim of significantly reducing electricity bills.

Powerstar South Africa specialises in distributing Powerstar’s voltage optimisation technology. The company’s solutions work by reducing the incoming voltage coming into a building to an optimum level for site operations. The technology ensures that businesses only pay for the amount of electricity required and used.
