RMQ-Titan Goes ATEX

For applications in hazardous areas where equipment may be exposed to explosive dust Moeller Electric is now offering an extensive selection of pushbuttons, indicator lamps and other pilot devices from its RMQ-Titan range in ATEX approved versions.

Among the RMQ-Titan products that Moeller Electric can supply in accordance with the ATEX Directive 94/9 EC are flush and projecting pushbuttons, mushroom actuators, selector switches, illuminated pushbuttons, indicator lamps, joysticks, foot and palm switches, Emergency-stop pushbuttons and potentiometers.

All products are approved for use in dust areas Zone 22, Category 3 and are approved for device group II, which covers all applications except those associated with mining.

Also available are surface mounting ATEX-compliant pushbutton enclosures which have an IP67,69K ingress protection rating and are particularly useful for applications in mills, grinding plants, wood processing, cement production, grain storage, food processing and similar areas where dust hazards may be present.

All of the new ATEX-compliant products share the features that have made Moeller Electric’s

RMQ-Titan range so successful and popular. Among these are LED illumination to eliminate the need for bulb changing, a uniform 22.3mm mounting grid to facilitate the design of compact panel layouts, and IP66 ingress protection as standard (many devices IP67, 69K) to ensure long life and reliable operation even in the most demanding of environments.
