Growth leads to development in Germany

After a 30% increase in growth in 2016, MasterMover, is recruiting a number of technical sales engineers. The internationally active company produces battery-powered, pedestrian-operated electric tugs to move loads safely and efficiently in some of the world’s largest organisations.

MasterMover has been active in Germany since 2013 and has grown substantially in the country since then. As the company continues to expand, it needs more employees to help the MasterMover team manage an increasing number of customer accounts.

“MasterMover offers such a wide range of tugs to move a range of weights and sizes that our products can be used in nearly every sector of industry,” explained Markus Schubert, Sales Manager at MasterMover. “This means that new recruits could be selling into the pharmaceutical industry one day and into metalworking the next day. We supply electric tugs to some of the world’s biggest companies including Volkswagen, Kässborer and John Deere, giving our sales engineers the chance to work with some prestigious clients.”

Schubert continued: “Electric tugs are not as common in Germany as other European countries as plants tend to use fork lifts. Because of this, we have had a lot of interest from companies at trade shows that are looking to reduce non-value added time in their plants by using electric tugs.”

Schubert added: “After the first sale, this relationship often builds, such as with the case of our customer Continental Tyres. After supplying MasterMover tugs into one plant, the company was so pleased it purchased more tugs for other factories and now wants to introduce them to its Portuguese plants.”

Having a number of technical sales engineers across Germany will allow MasterMover customers more regular contact with the company’s employees. MasterMover opened a service department in Germany in 2016, meaning any maintenance of the electric tugs can be done in Germany rather than having to be shipped abroad, which has also lead to a clear improvement customer service.

In 2017, MasterMover will also open a dealership in Germany, creating a central point for customers to view the wide range of electric tugs offered by the company. This dealership will work in conjunction with the technical sales engineers, who will travel across regions of Germany.
