Freezing maintenance costs with small process chiller range
The high specification, small process chillers in the ZCM range have been introduced by Clever Engineering. The new single phase, air cooled water chillers from Chiller Frigoriferi are available in six models with cooling capacities ranging from 1.5-7kW.
The compact process/laboratory chillers use R410A refrigerant for increased efficiency, and offer reduced operating costs since maintenance is built into their design. For example, the bolt-on panels can easily be removed for access, the 25l stainless steel water tank is readily accessible for inspection, and manometers are provided to read the high and low refrigerant pressures.
The electrical control panel is also easily accessible and uses a standard microprocessor to monitor the whole system.
"These new chillers are efficient, quiet and reliable, with many features included as standard that are unavailable in competitor models or offered only as an option," said Clever Engineering Managing Director, Trevor Carter.
The chiller's coaxial evaporator is positioned inside the water tank for increased efficiency. Other features included as standard are a thermostatic valve to provide optimum performance across a range of temperatures, a condenser air filter, a water gauge and a high working pressure switch.
Although designed for indoor use, the chillers can also be located outdoors under shelter, as they are rated at IP44 protection and have a rustproof epoxy powder coated frame.
