Using Parker’s unique new e:Trainer website, all those involved in the specification, design, operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems can access interactive modules that make learning easy and convenient. Modules cover, for example, hydraulic fluid basics, the sources of particle contamination, water contamination and the ways in which contamination can cause damage to different system components.
Once users have successfully completed the online e-learning modules they are able to register free of charge for Parker’s residential courses that are run throughout Europe and which explore different aspects of filtration technology in considerable detail.
Users can then use this knowledge to assess their own systems, to identify possible areas of weakness, and then improve the cleanliness and reliability of equipment by installing effective filtration solutions. Ultimately, Parker believes that the knowledge gained will help engineers improve the productivity of hydraulic systems, while reducing capital and operational costs.
John Botley, Marketing Manager for Parker’s Hydraulic Filter Division Europe, explains that, “The new online learning facility is an important and exciting new initiative that allows us to share our extensive knowledge of contamination and filtration with our customers throughout the world, through a carefully structured yet easy to use interactive process. Perhaps as importantly, this is a unique facility that will appeal to anyone with an interest in improving the reliability of hydraulic systems or a desire to learn more about this often overlooked area of technology.”
