Emerson's Ovation® expert control technology selected for automation of new concentrating solar power plants in SpainEmerson Process Management announced today that over the last year the company has been selected to install its Ovation® control technology at six new solar plants in Spain. These plants, along with an Ovation installation at an operating solar power plant, will provide 350 MW of clean energy to Spain's power grid, enough electricity to power roughly 70,000 homes.

The new Ammonium Nitrate Pump High Temperature Protection & Monitoring System has produced a significant improvement in plant safety, increased operator awareness of the condition of these pumps, and reduced the potential for plant or environmental damage due to a fire and/or chemical release. In addition, the company saved $30,000 to $40,000 on system engineering and installation. |
