Yokogawa Electric says that its control system development organisation has obtained ISASecure Security Development Lifecycle Assurance (SDLA) certification from the ISA Security Compliance Institute (ISCI).

FAST/TOOLS R10.04, the latest version of Yokogawa Electric’s real-time operations management and visualisation software. Version R4.01 of its Plant Resource Manager (PRM) software tool has been released by Yokogawa Electric. PRM R4.01, an upgrade to R3.31, has been significantly enhanced with a new function that provides statistical data needed to identify the overall status of the devices in a plant.

Yokogawa Electric will be rolling out the SensPlus Buddy communication support service on November 10. With this solution, personnel in the field will enjoy access to support information directly from their mobile devices. SensPlus Buddy can be accessed using a standard web browser on any general-purpose mobile device or personal computer, and does not require the installation of software.

An order to supply an analyser package solution for the Liwa Plastics Industries Complex has been won by Yokogawa Electric’s subsidiary, Yokogawa Electric Korea. The complex is being built for Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (Orpic), a company owned and operated by the Oman government.

Release 4 of the SMARTDAC+ GX series panel-mount type paperless recorder, GP series portable paperless recorder, and GM series data acquisition system will be unveiled by Yokogawa Electric on May 19. This latest version supports Windows 10, and the STARDOM high-speed CPU module comes with a new function that enables Java applications to run on a STARDOM controller. In addition, an oil flow rate calculation function has been added to meet the needs of oil and gas well operations.

An enhanced version of the ProSafe-RS safety instrumented system will be launched on April 26 by Yokogawa Electric. This latest release, R4.03.00, includes an improved engineering function for configuring fire and gas systems (FGS) and new operation faceplates for the FGS operation and monitoring screens. These enhancements make it easier to adopt and use ProSafe-RS in FGS applications.

A mutual sales agreement has been signed by Yokogawa Electric and Rohrback Cosasco Systems, a US-based manufacturer of corrosion monitoring systems and equipment. Under this agreement, Yokogawa will distribute Cosasco’s ISA Wireless-based MWT-3905 and CWT-9020 corrosion monitors and Cosasco will distribute Yokogawa ISA Wireless-based field wireless system devices.

An enhanced version of its CENTUM VP integrated production control system has been announced by Yokogawa Electric. The enhancements in this latest release, R6.04, include a new input/output (IO) module that will give Yokogawa end users a greater range of choices. CENTUM VP is a production control platform that has been used in a wide variety of process operations.
