Weetabix is on track to make significant energy savings following the installation of Gardner Energy Management’s GEM Venturi orifice steam traps throughout its facility at Burton Latimer in Northants. Sixty-five percent of the steam traps on the 80-acre site have now been converted to GEM traps, providing Weetabix with a payback of just six months.

Ruabon Works is making steam savings of 12% from its batch reactor following the installation of Gardner Energy Management’s GEM Venturi Orifice steam traps. Following the success of this initial installation, which provided Flexsys with a payback in only five months, the company has installed GEM steam traps on a condensate recovery project and is now retrospectively fitting GEM traps across the site.

Energy savings of up to 55% are achievable by steam users with Gardner Energy Management’s (GEM) Topaz steam trap range. A development of GEM’s award winning venturi steam trap, the GEM Topaz has been specifically produced for Clean Steam Systems used in hospitals and pharmaceuticals for sterilises and sterilisation.

Leading Southall based restaurant and work wear rental company and laundry, London Linen Supply Ltd, is saving an amazing £40,000 per annum in energy costs and maintenance following the replacement of its mechanical steam traps with the award winning Gardner Energy Management’s GEM Venturi orifice traps. Gardner Energy Management has installed 100 GEM traps throughout the laundry, providing London Linen with a payback in less than 12-months on energy savings alone.

Gardner Energy Management’s has updated its Emerald range with a trap set that is much lighter and easier to maintain. It has been specifically produced for repetitive load capacity applications where there is an extensive use of drip legs and trace heating systems used extensively in the chemical, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

The Boots Group, UK’s leading health and beauty retailer, is systematically replacing steam traps at its Energy Centre with Gardner Energy Management’s, GEM traps following the successful installation of GEM traps on the Energy Centres’ hot water calorifiers. Since then, around 30 GEM traps have been installed onto other applications including boilers, super heaters and the steam distribution systems.
